Watching Grease live 3/1/19

In Carley’s session we were tole what play we are doing in March and it is Grease, we watched Grease live in the singing studio, the live show was like the film but it was live, we listened to the songs that were in the show like ‘Greased Lighting’, ‘Beauty School Dropout’ and other songs that were within the show.

Workshop (1) 14/1/19

Today we were researcing ideas for Charlie and the chcolate factory, i came up with the idea for the location for the factory and it is under New York City, the entrance is at the Statue of Liberty an there are four parts in the factory one under Lower Manhatten, one under Williamburg, East Williamburg and Greenpoint and one under Brooklyn Heights and under Red Hook, i also had an idea that the factory has their own subway service to get in and out in of the factory.

One section of the factory which is under Lower Manhatten is where the Oompa-Loompas makes all different kinds of chocolate like Blue Sage chocolate, lavendar chocolate, daffodil chocolate and chili chocolate.

The other section where its under Williamburg, East williamburg and Greenpoint is where they grow all kinds of Herbs, Flowers, Fruits and Spices from all across the world like from China, India, Europe and some parts in South America where the Oompa-Loompas collects them and bring them back to New York, the area under ground is 7.133 km2 same size as combined Willamburg, East Williamburg and Greenpoint.

The last section is which is under Brooklyn Heights and Red Hook the Oompa-Loompas make and bakes cakes for people who are arranging Birthday parts, wedding party, and late night party, people can even have their cake 10 ft high and 5 m wide.

At the end when Charlie, his Grandpa and Willy Wonka gets on the lift they go the the Empire State building, Willy Wonka’s office is at the top of the Chrysler Building.

1950’s Research 21/1/19 (Updated 13/3/19)

At the beginning of 1950 the United States along with UN counties took part of the Korean War, they were allies with South Korea to help them push back North Korea’s invasion, the War ended in a stalemate in 1953 when an agreement was signed on July 23 1953.

On November 1st 1950, there was an assassination attempted of President Harry S Truman from two Puerto Rican nationalist.

On the same year at the end of the Korean War in 1953, Dwight D Eisenhower wins the US election in January 20th

In December 1st 1955, a bus passenger named Rosa Parks was a American activist in the civil rights movement who was arrested for not moving to the coloured section of the bus while she was sitting on the white only section.

NASA was formed on July 29th 1958, The 50s was also about fashion for women and men, there were jackets with rounded shoulders and with small round collars that were very popular within the decade.

During the 50s, Both super-powered counties which is the United States and the Soviet Union were at each other throats during The Cold War, The Cold War was a tension between The United States and the Soviet Union (with its satellite states), The Cold War began just two years after World War 2.

Through the 50’s both the superpowers counties which is the United States and the Soviet Union and other counties like China, France and the United Kingdom were testing nuclear weapons around the world, the first nuclear weapon to set off was in 16th July 1945 and that started the an age called ‘The Atomic Age’ and it was detonated at the Alamogordo Test Range in New Mexico and the nuclear test codename was called ‘Trinity’. another cool thing about Trinity is that it is the cause of Trinitite, Trinitite is some kind of glass that is made of different chemicals that was near or around the area where the nuclear bomb, it has mild radiation but its safe to handle and has some kind of green colour that lays on the glass.

In the 50’s there was something called ‘The Postwar Boom’, so basically people in the 50s used the word boom quite a lot and there was a record of babies that range to 3.4 mission and they called it the ‘baby boom’ and there was around 4 million babies that were born each year within the 50s and there were other booms such as the boom economy and the boom suburbs as well, all the booms started in 1946 and it ended in 1964, there were around 77 million baby boomers born within the 50s. Background story: Teen Angel is a figment of Frenchy’s old teacher, he lives in the California hills in his big house which is white, its in the forest and he has a wardrobe of infinite suits and he can teleport to Frenchy anytime if she is in distress.

Grease (Plot) 6/3/19

It was summer 1959, at a beach in there is a greaser named Danny Zuko who is in a gang named the T-birds and a girl named Sandy Dumbrowski, they got together and they fell in love, then they had to go on there separate ways.

It was the first day at Rydell High and Danny met up with his T-Bird buddies and Sandy was with Franchey, Franchey introduce Sandy to the Pink Ladies.

After Danny met up with the T-birds and Sandy getting introduce by the pink ladies, they both stumbled into each other, they were surprised at first but then the T-birds thought that Danny was acting strange with Sandy but then Danny started to pretend that he doesn’t know who she is, so Danny and the T-birds walk away and so did Sandy and the Pink Ladies.

Later Doody was practising on his new guitar and showing it off to his friends who are the T-birds was wondering what Doody was doing and he starts to sing a little song to show them what he has parties so far.

Late at night, The Pink Ladies had a Pajama party over at Franchy house just for wine, smoking cigarettes and talking about boys, Sandy was in pain after Franchy pieced her ear and there were a bit of blood on the floor, so then Franchy takes Sandy to the bathroom to help her but Sandy went in alone, Rizzo who is the leader of the Pink Ladies started to mock Sandy of her innocence like her not smoking and not drinking alcohol.

The next day at the school garage, the T-birds are modding Kenickie new car which is called Greased lighting the name he picked for himself, so then he, Danny and the other T-birds got to work on greased lighting making it from a piece of junk into a fabulous convertible.

Later on that day, Sandy is practising her cheerleading, Danny walks up to her to apologize of his behaviour until head cheerleader Patty Simcoxx interrupts the conversation and starts to flit with Danny for a moment and she tells him that there are track try-out that are going on and Danny decided to join in.

At the burger palace, the T-birds and the Pink ladies all hang out at the Burger palace, Danny informed everyone that he tried out the track team, then everyone starts to mock him and Danny calls Roger ‘Rump’, Roger explains to Jen why he is called Rump so basically he has a hobby of baring his backside to victims, moments later, Rizzo starts to tease Danny for falling a girl and she starts to mock Sandy yet again, then Sandy was heard everything what Rizzo said about her, but Rizzo ignored her and Sandy starts to pull her hair and they have a fight, Danny stops the fight and Sandy was not happy of Danny telling lies about her but thats not true, then. Sandy walks outs and Franchy did as well to check up on her, Roger asks Jen out to the dance and she says yes and Danny ask Rizzo out and she also said yes as well, Doody asks everyone that should he ask Franchy out and everyone said yes.

It was the night of the dance and everyone was excited and happy to be taking part, Kenickie comes to the dance with a girl named Cha-Cha but then Kenickie ends up dancing with Rizzo and Cha-cha ends up dancing with Danny, then the MC Vince Fontaine who is a radio disc jockey, started the hand jive dance contest and everyone was ready to dance, at the end of the dance, Danny and Cha-Cha are the winners and they win two free drive-in movie tickets.

Sometime later at the burger palace, Doody, Kenickie and Roger ran into Franchy, Doodle informs her that they are going to have a rumble against the Flaming Dukes because of Cha-Cha who is apparently a girlfriend to one of the boys who’s with the Flaming Dukes, Danny shows up wearing his truck outfit, Doody also informs Danny about the Flaming Dukes and insists Danny to help the T-birds during the rumble but Danny declined because he has he has track race coming up soon and Danny sprints off.

After that Roger and Kenickie went to get something to eat, Doody went as well but before that he ask Franchy if he can see her at beauty school and she said yes, When Doody went to something eat as well Franchy was so frustrated that because she dropped out of beauty school and she doesn’t know what to do next, suddenly Teen Angel appears and tells Franchy to return to high school.

In the next scene, we see Sandy and Danny in Greased Lighting watching a film at the drive-in, Danny was really sorry for his behavior towards Sandy and he gives a ring to her, he attempts to get intimate with her but he moves to fast on her and Sandy leaves.

A few days later The Pink Ladies and T-birds (without Danny) were all in Jan’s house for a party, Rizzo tells the Pink Ladies that she could be pregnant, Jan passes the message to the T-birds with Rizzo not knowing, The T-Birds wanted to give support but Rizzo refused, Rizzo is now left alone with Sandy and she ask questions about Rizzo and she responds that she is a better person then all the other

Rizzo starts to leave as well and Sandy was wandering how she will fit in with the greasers.

The next day at the burger palace the T-birds started to talk about Patty Simcoxx being miserable and that the reason is because Danny quit the track team and he gave the finger to the coach, then the boys started to laugh and congrats Danny, The Pink Ladies showed with a transformed Sandy, Danny was happy and the couple express their feelings together.

Then the boys and the girls cheered for Danny and Sandy being back together and then it all ends happily and everyone sing about how they will always be friends until the end.
